It’s being a while since I published something here on this Newsletter and I would love to start today with the story of Wisdom.

This Newsletter is called Day One and for the past months I have been publishing different articles on growth and personal development.

I have gotten a lot of feed back and testimonies from people who have been taking action.

When it comes experiencing a change in their Lives, most people always believe that it would come somewhere in the future.

2020 is our year.

Last time that I checked, 2020 is more like the year of Corona Virus and God is yet to inform us on the brand of Smartphone that He uses (would be the I-Phone though).

You need to understand that the Future is only seconds away and what determines how it is for you is what you do in this very moment.

It doesn’t matter if you are black, green eyed, have three legs or walk sideways, if you figure out how to provide value for society, you will always get rewarded for it.

My first mentor in the online space was Jon Morrow and he was a very inspiring mentor because he was able to rise to the highest level of excellence in his field despite his disability.

He was paralysed neck down by spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and can only move his face. He still managed still build a Multi Million Dollar media company using a speech to text software to create online content.

Stories like his makes you understand what’s possible when you set your mind to anything.

Now to the story of Wisdom, I met him some months back, he was young man who was burdened by the normal realities facing all young people in Nigeria.

Unlike most of them though, he was eager to do something about his situation.

You see, no matter how things are going for you now, the only way for you to see a significant change is taking action.

It doesn’t matter if you are worth $1 or $1 Million. There is always room for growth and Improvement.

Wisdom joined the Day One Community and after reading some of the guides, he made a decision to learn Product Design and also Illustration.

He didn’t have the funds to pay for the huge courses online, but he learnt with the free content that he could lay hands on and he was also very intentional about selling his Sawdust.

Fast forward to some weeks later, he has secured a job as an Illustrator with a Online publishing Startup, the Head of Publishing saw his illustration on Twitter and offered him the Job.

Imagine if he had been sitting around waiting for when God will remember him or a mysterious hand moved him to a higher position.

Most people always wait for luck to smile upon them, but the best kind of luck is the one you create for yourself through your actions.

If you are not living intentionally, you will remain where you are for a long time.

Imagine if Wisdom have been sitting waiting for things to get better, or for someone to remember him, he would have still been at the same spot, waiting and hoping.

Learning a skill is your gateway to creating success for yourself in this age, there are a lot of opportunities out there, but it can only favour those who take action.

Some people are still held back from learning a particular skill because of the challenges with paying for premium courses on learning platform.
